OK what did i say with my last update for my computer? I said that it was broke and i had to return it. Right? Well there has been several happenings since then.
After i packed everything back up in their box, i contacted Newegg and setup a return. It going pretty good at this point, i print out the number and its bar code, and tape it to the box. The email said that i should wait 2/4 hours for the UPS shipping label to be created and emailed to me, and i should print it out and tape it to the box. So i go about my business of waiting for that email, and having nothing else to do.
Just so the page wont be freaking huge the rest will be after the break.
So now its been about 5 hours after the first email. So i send an email back to Newegg, saying that i haven’t received it yet. But since its like 8 in the afternoon, no one is at the computer doing their emails. So i pretty much have to wait till tomorrow for someone to respond to my email (they don’t say this on the site, its just my observation). So i go search the site thinking i have to do something on the site to get it, and i find there is a section to get a return label. But the problem is that i have to purchase it. I send them one more email before i go to bed saying that its been almost 12 hours and i have yet to receive the email.
I wake up the next morning to find that i do not have an email back yet. So i send them one more email saying that is has been at least 26 hours since the first email. This is turning out to be a bad experience for me, broken computer and pain in the ass to return it. I go back onto the site and purchase the shipping return, tape it to the box so i can at least get it sent out today (today is Thursday the 26th).
When i wake up there are 2 emails waiting for me. Both basically saying that there was a unknown problem with generating the label, basically there wasn’t one made. He also noticed that i purchased one and he is issuing a refund for the price i paid, $25.18, and i should wait 3-5 business days, for the funds to be issued.
Now that iv shipped out the damn thing i check the shipping pretty much every few hours (using Boxoh ofcorse). I made a post about this on the Eggxpert forums. On the way up the computer stop once before getting to me, but on the way down, it stopped a total of 4 places before getting to its last stop to be sent out for delivery.
OK so the computer finely made it, according to UPS. But according to Newegg, it was still in transit. It wasn’t labeled as received until 30 seconds before it was approved for replacement. That totally sucks. I also made a post about this on the Eggxpert forums.
Here is where i pretty much am now, and this is gonna be a rant.
When i wake up this morning i check to see if iv received any emails on the status of my replacement. No emails. I go and check the RMA page, and i notice something wasn’t right. The RMA type was changes from “Replacement” to “Refund”. That’s not right because the computer isn’t eligible for refund, that’s just the way its set up. So i head over to the actual item page to see if anything changes over there. Turns out something did changes. Its now labeled as a “Deactivated Item”. This is what Newegg’s meaning says:
When a product is out-of-stock, it may show as “Deactivated” on the item page. This could mean that the item is no longer available and we are searching for a new supplier. However, if an item has reached the end of its product life cycle and will no longer be available at all, the deactivation will be permanent.
So apparently they don’t have any more to send me and replace the broken one they sold me. WHAT THE FUCK. So now i have to wait for probably over a week for that refund to process so i can go find a computer to buy.
Oh yea I’m still waiting to be reimbursed for that shipping label i purchased because Newegg “had and issue” making the one for me to use to ship the computer back to them.
OK i think I’m done… we’ll see what happens.
