DestroyTwitter Improment ideas

As you probably know, I’m a fan of DestroyTwitter. I made a post a while ago about the top 5 things i like about it.  But today I’m just gonna suggest some things that id like to see in the new version.

I’m writing this because its to long for a tweet, and @destorytoday (i dont know his name) is working on a new version. So i thought id throw out a couple ideas.

I really like shorting my URLs with bit.ly mainly because its the only one iv used and i can track all the links i make. The thing id like to see is the ability to add my api key so i get credit for the link, and i can track the links on the bit.ly site. I dont know how the other services work, or if they even offer that.

I dont really use the notification popups, mainly because when i play #wow i dont see them. I dont know if its a Adobe Air problem, or DT, but they seem to popup at the same layer (is that the correct terminology)  DT is currently at. Also since i use dual monitors, they will only popup on the main monitor, so if i could select a monitor for them to show up on would be nice too.

Well for now thoes are the only two i can think of right now.

The Last Air Bender

Yesterday i went to see the new Transformers 2 movie, and i like it. But I’m not here to talk about it. I’m going to talk about one of the previews i saw before the movie.

They are working on a movie based on the TV cartoon that airs on Nickelodeon called “Avatar: The last air bender”. I’ve been a fan of the show since around book two (season 2, they call em books and chapters). Once i saw the first episode i have since watched every episode. If you’ve never heard of it go google or something.

“The Last Air Bender” the movie is going to be a live action movie with high CGI stuff (dealing with the bending and such). From what iv read I’m hoping that the movie will not be the whole story. I’m hoping that the movie will be made into several movies based on each book or even just a few chapters of each book.

I love they are making a movie, but i think it would have don’t just as good as a live action TV series based solely on the old TV show.

I really hope M. Night Shyamalan does a great job with this movie, because i believe that its got a great fan base and hope it will a bigger hit then the TV show.

Changes i like in Patch 3.2

There are some big changes happening in the next version of WoW (3.2). Today I am going to make a list some of the top things that caught my eye when i was reading over the patch notes. (is this gonna be a theme of mine)

Wow big post, lots of changes i like :D .

First are the huge changes that are happening to the mount system. Your first mount will be at level 20, currently its at level 30. Before that it was level 40. Your second mount will be level 40, currently its at 60. The next rank will be your flying and you will be able to train that at level 60, down from level 70. Also the cast time of any ground mount has be decreased to 1.5 seconds. Flying mounts are currently still at 3 seconds.

Top Github Languages Used

 github-toplangIv known about GitHub for a while, but i haven’t had a reason to use it because i dont really have any projects right now (i need one tho). I was looking around and found a page listing the top languages used on projects hosted on GitHub (found HERE).

As you can see that my main coding language, witch is php, is 7th on the list. And the main one is Ruby. It got me to thinking, should i take a look at the ruby language and see if its easyer and what not? I mean if 28% of projects on GitHub are using it, i would assume that its a good programing language right?
