Changes i like in Patch 3.2

There are some big changes happening in the next version of WoW (3.2). Today I am going to make a list some of the top things that caught my eye when i was reading over the patch notes. (is this gonna be a theme of mine)

Wow big post, lots of changes i like :D .

First are the huge changes that are happening to the mount system. Your first mount will be at level 20, currently its at level 30. Before that it was level 40. Your second mount will be level 40, currently its at 60. The next rank will be your flying and you will be able to train that at level 60, down from level 70. Also the cast time of any ground mount has be decreased to 1.5 seconds. Flying mounts are currently still at 3 seconds.

But the cherry on top of the pie of mount changes is this. Flying over Dalaran and Wintergrasp is now possible so long as you fly high enough above the ground. I like this a lot because you don’t have to fly around anymore, just fly up a lil bit, then your good. (should have saved this for last)

Second on my list are some changes that are designed just for twinks. Twinks have been asking for this for a long time. Iv never made a twink, thought it was too hard, but something i thought would be great addition. Players will now be able to turn off ALL experience gained, for a small 10g fee of coarse. This also means that if you have your XP turned off, you will be placed in BGs with others who have the XP turned off. A true twink vs twink system.

Third on my list is the changes for hunter’s traps. Our traps will now have separate 30-second cooldown categories: Fire (Immolation Trap, Explosive Trap and Black Arrow), Frost (Freezing Trap, Frost Trap) and Nature (Snake Trap). This means we could drop a freezing trap, to CC a target (if we get to CC anytime soon), use our Black Arrow (or a fire trap), and drop  a snake trap (if we would want to).

Four. Next on the list are some User Interface changes.

  • You can now have character names colorized according to their class in the chat.
  • When druids are in their other forms (cat,bear) they will now be able to see how much mana they have.
  • This next one is kinda a nerf, but i understand why its done and i kinda support it. Macros and scripts will no longer be able to target totems by name. That means totems have a chance of surviving in pvp. Players will have to manually target the totems to kill them, and risk loosing the shaman.

Number five are changes that effect my profession, Engineering.

  • This one kinda sucks for us but is good for others i guess. “All stackable potions now stack to 20″.
  • But they also changed Potion injectors. They now increase the amount gained by 25% when used by engineers. Also the quantity produced  has been increased, so that’s a plus.
  • The Ultrasafe Bullet Machine and Saronite Arrow Maker schematics have been simplified to create a full stack of the appropriate ammunition, they no longer requires an anvil and the materials required to make them have be reduced. Right now they make stacks of 200, so each machine/maker makes a total of 2 stacks. Now i assume that they would make a full 10 stacks, along with them being cheaper to make this is a huge buff id say.
  • And last the Mote Extractor now has innate tracking for gas clouds while it is in your inventory. Tracking of gas clouds has been removed from goggles. Now when you get get a better help you don’t have to keep a pair of goggles for when you go farming.
