I dont think iv ever made a post about how i got my nickname (Gizzmo, Justgiz) whether it be here, or on a past blog. So i feel like its a good idea for a post.
The story of how i got the name gizzmo is a weird one. Its not because im good with gadgets, or good with making stuff. When i was in my early teens, there was a chat program i used alot called “The Palace” (wow the website really brings back the memories) and my friends and i chatted on there alot.
The admin/moderators were called “Wizzards”, and since I had the name Whizkarz, everyone kept asking if i was a wizzard. So after about the tenth person to ask me, i asked my friends: “Ok i really need a new nickname, anyone got any ideas”. One of my friends suggested the name gizzmo, not for any reason other then she has a friend with a dog named gizzmo.
So yea thats how i came to be known as Gizzmo.
The name “Justgiz” came along when i was wanting to get my website. I had to think of a .com address and the only thing i could think of was Justgizzmo.com, because a friend had the address JustAndrew.com. Well when i signed up and was given my user name, it was my domain name cut down to 7 characters. So my email was justgiz@justgizzmo.com.
I later when i moved to Gmail.com i kept it and since then iv been using those two names for everything i sign up for. Preferably Gizzmo.
