This winter SUCKED

I was just surfing my site (is that weird?) and i found my post i made back in the winter of 2008-2009. You can find the post here. Its the one with the best pictures.

Well after seeing those pictures i realized that this last winter (2009-2010) really fucking sucked. We didn’t get any fucking snow, at least where i live. It wasn’t until the official first day of spring did we get a inch of snow. WTF Mother Nature?

You know, i didn’t get out much during that winter, or this last one either. I really should get out more and play in the snow. Ill try to play in the snow more next year. That is if it even snows.

Meebo

Meebo is truly the best thing to come to instant messaging since, well, since instant messaging its self.

If you dont know what Meebo is, click the word Meebo any in this post. But if your that lazy i guess i could tell you. Meebo started out as a simple easy way to chat with your IM buddies where ever you were. Aim, Yahoo, Wim and ICQ. Since then they have evolved into a huge network of sites that you can chat on.

Ever since i first found out about Meebo, iv stopped running my IM clients and ended up uninstalled them. I refuse to use them even tho they might a couple features that Meebo still doesn’t have perfectly. File transfer, Webcams. But Meebo has added support for those though web apps.

Meebo recently released their ‘Meebo Notifier‘ witch is a small app that sits in the system tray and keeps you connected to Meebo. You can then close the Meebo.com window and still receive message, notifications that friends have signed on and off. And at any time you can double click on the icon to open up the browser.

So if your a chat-aholic, why not bring all your chatting networks into once place with Meebo. Check it out!

Now if they will just add IRC support.

Im a Justhost Affiliate

Ok so several months ago i tried to sign up for Justhost‘s Affiliate program, but back then it required a whole sign up process. It meant that i had to enter my SS# credit number and all this other stuff. I decided it was to much of a hassle to do it.

So today i went back and all you needed was a PayPal account. Guess what i have one of those (never really use it tho). Well now if you click the lil add in the side bar i will get a lil bit of $$ when you sign up.

PC Vs Mac

This is pretty much the saying for the ultimate war between Windows and Apple. The phrase im talking about is “PC versus Mac”. But its finely gotten on my nerves. The phrase should be “Windows versus Mac”. My reason behind this is this.

What the hell does P.C. stand for? “Personal Computer” right? Well doesn’t that make a Mac a PC? What about computers you see in offices and businesses (either a Windows machine or a Mac). They are not and shouldnt not be used as a “Personal Computer”, does that mean they are neither a PC or a Mac?

So saying “PC vs Mac” is wrong. Its like saying “Truck vs Ford”, Or saying “Soda vs Dr Pepper”. You never ask a friend/coworker, “Hey do you drive a Ford or a truck” or ” Hey whats your favorite drink, soda or Dr Pepper”

OK i know that apple makes their own machines and the Apple OS can only be run on those machines. And every other computer company makes PCs that run windows. But it doesn’t mean you can compare a general object to a specific object.

Also why is this “war” still going? You dont see car companies dissing other car companies. Why is Windows and Mac still dissing each other when they both have great products?

TweetDeck Vs DestroyTwitter 2

A while a back i made a post sharing a list of 5 reasons why i liked DestroyTwitter more then TweetDeck (Link). I was shocked that it was such a hit, over 800 hits in one day. Well its been a while since iv used TweetDeck so i thought id try the new version, and see what i thought. Im going to give a list of some good and bad things about it, compared DestroyTwitter.

Please forgive me if my assumptions are wrong about TweetDeck and if there is a preference i may have over looked.

These are just my thoughts at this time, my feelings could change, or the apps may change and effect my feelings.
