Just a few minuits ago, i received an email from blizzard sayin that my account suspected to be part of a money traiding group or something and i needed to verify that my account is really mine.
There were serveral thing that first cought my eye. First my account has been inactive for about a month, so unless someone stole my account and are paying for the montly charge, its highly unlikey that my account is used for anything. Second it was the fact that the email was coming from the EU blizzard, and suggesting that my account was an EU account.
So obvousely this isnt a real email from blizzard. So i check all the links (you do that by hovering over the link and not clicking, it should shouw you the address in the status bar at the bottom of the page.) One of the links was pointing to a address that was something like “blizzardaccountmanagement.tk” or something.
This is the first Phishing email iv ever gotten, wether it be trying to get my wow account, or trying to get my bank account, or any other important password. But luckly it wasnt a very good attempt. So, when you get an email that doesnt seem right, dont click any links, and just type in the address your self.
