PC Vs Mac

This is pretty much the saying for the ultimate war between Windows and Apple. The phrase im talking about is “PC versus Mac”. But its finely gotten on my nerves. The phrase should be “Windows versus Mac”. My reason behind this is this.

What the hell does P.C. stand for? “Personal Computer” right? Well doesn’t that make a Mac a PC? What about computers you see in offices and businesses (either a Windows machine or a Mac). They are not and shouldnt not be used as a “Personal Computer”, does that mean they are neither a PC or a Mac?

So saying “PC vs Mac” is wrong. Its like saying “Truck vs Ford”, Or saying “Soda vs Dr Pepper”. You never ask a friend/coworker, “Hey do you drive a Ford or a truck” or ” Hey whats your favorite drink, soda or Dr Pepper”

OK i know that apple makes their own machines and the Apple OS can only be run on those machines. And every other computer company makes PCs that run windows. But it doesn’t mean you can compare a general object to a specific object.

Also why is this “war” still going? You dont see car companies dissing other car companies. Why is Windows and Mac still dissing each other when they both have great products?

Stupid Twitter

OK so several months ago, when i had just heard about twitter, i thought id go ahead and sign up. While doing so started to think that if people wanted to know whats going on in my life they can just read my blog. I didn’t feel like it would be that useful, and would just be another site id have to keep updated and stuff so i decided to delete it.

Well now i feel like i wanna try it out, and this time keep the account. Well seems that when you delete an account on twitter, it isn’t actually deleted. The email and username is still held so no one can sign up with em. The main problem is that i cant restore my account. So im pretty much shit out of luck unless i use a different email and username. I’v done the automatic account restoration but i think my acount was deleted before 12/1/08 so it needs to be restored “manualy”.

So now im thinking, is it really worth it to even use twitter in the first place. Will i even get followers? I mean come on i only have what 8 comments on my blog. Two of witch are mine. I could post more short “twitter like” posts here, or even make a “twitter” category or something. I dont know.

New Computer Refunded

OK what did i say with my last update for my computer? I said that it was broke and i had to return it. Right? Well there has been several happenings since then.

After i packed everything back up in their box, i contacted Newegg and setup a return.  It going pretty good at this point, i print out the number and its bar code, and tape it to the box. The email said that i should wait 2/4 hours for the UPS shipping label to be created and emailed to me, and i should print it out and tape it to the box. So i go about my business of waiting for that email, and having nothing else to do.  

Just so the page wont be freaking huge the rest will be after the break.

Unable to play WoW

For the last week, iv unable to play WoW. On day 5 of my free play time, fearing not being able to get back up to the house, my sister took her laptop with her because she was gonna stay at our dads place, witch is near her work.

Sucks that all that free time is gone and wasted. I could be level 75 or higher by now. One reason i don’t think ill set up a subscription. Its her computer so if she went out again, it’d be wasting money. If she needed on the computer while i was playing, id pretty much have to get off. So no chance of raiding like that, unless shes or i is on a odd sleep schedule.

Something else about me not being to play, is i don’t have access to friends online. Mainly they changed the ventrilo password, and didn’t update the guild info to tell everyone (i can see it though the armory). So iv had no talking to them. I guess ill try to send an email to a friend and hope she checks her email.

But hey with all the free time, iv been able to work in the callas’ i need on my fingers to play my new guitar with out my fingers hurting. I could buy smaller strings, but that requires me buying stuff :) .

Im Gettings Sick Of This

This is gonna be a rant, so if you don’t wanna listen to it then you can turn away… Still here? ok.

There are a few things that are making me sick. just plain old pissing me off. Also his list is in no specific order or anything like that.

First, I’m getting sick that Fluxbb hasn’t had a real update in a couple weeks. Paul started the commits and still haven’t gotten around to finishing them. For the likes of me i don’t know why? There has been no info about why he’s not finished. Did he go on vacation for the holidays? Did he die? (knock on wood) And if so do the other developers not know, or do they just not wanna tell us. Its just making me sick that there’s no updates for the fluxbb source.

Next on the list is my ability to play world of warcraft, and my addiction to it. I love the game so much and the friends iv made. I try to keep in contact with them though emails and Vent, but i cant stand to be in vent. Its almost torture. Listening to them play, talk about what they’re doing and what not, and not being able to play or barely experience it. All i get is a screenshot, or video about it. Its just making me sick not being able to play this game that i love.

The last thing on this list is really really personal (Family) so beware.

I think the last thing for this list that makes me sick, is my Sister. Yes my sister. And her daughter. I must say i love my niece, but im getting sick of watching her. And my mother and i probably watches her more then her mother does. And what else is when she need us to watch her daughter because she wants to go to bed (she works the graveyard 8pm to 7am) she just goes to bed, because we happen to be in the living room with her. Never asks (very rarely at the least) and NEVER i mean NEVER says thank you. Id like for her to pay me and mom or at the least give us the child support, and not spend it on stuff, that is rarely for her.

Those are a few things that piss me off. Lets just hope that, Fluxbb starts up regular development, i get a computer that is capable to run wow, and my sister becomes nicer (or moves out).
